Julie is an owner of OVA as well as being a founder and Director of Ojai Pottery and Clay School. Her passion for working in clay motivates her to explore a range of ceramic expression from functional ware to bowls shaped like flowers to carvings with motifs drawn from nature.
Her hand made functional pieces bring daily delight to those who enjoy eating or drinking from one of a kind items that have been made with care. She works mostly in porcelain. All pieces are microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
She graduated from Bennington College where she discovered the wonders of working with clay. She has an MBA in marketing and worked as the Director of Marketing for a global software company. Now retired, she has returned to clay.
